it's just not cricket.

4.30am on a friday morning. what better time to write a blog?

i'm back in the van with the statics, on our way to adelaide to support horsell common. i dunno if you know, but they are a way cool band. we're playing with them tommorow night in adelaide, and in two weeks at the arthouse back in melbourne. it's gonna be toppity top tops.

it's the first time we've really been on the road in almost a year and a half, and the first time we've been in the van with leo and arlo. so far, it's pretty damn good! it took a few hours for the profanity to come out, but we had a great conversation about gobbies about an hour ago. now twelfth man is blaring from the stereo, and most of us are trying to catch some sleep while gez and arlo man the front. (we've also got kev, josh and yahna along for the ride... which might make that last sentence make more sense.)

but sleep is hard to come by in a big ol' vibratin' van filled with sports-related comedy. so writing pointless crap it is!

it's a huge month this month! last week was the long-awaited another castle (aka pat and brendan... it's possibly been way too long since i updated this) EP launch, and it was so amazing my hat fell off. then i put it back on. then it fell off again.
tomorrow night is the statics with horsell common in adelaide, sunday is another castle at the glen waverley festival, next saturday is the statics at bang, that sunday is another castle at fist2face, the next thursday is the statics at the corner with gyroscope, and the friday is the statics at the arthouse with horsell common.
add to that all the school stuff i've gotta do, plus work and design stuff, lots of band practises for the gigs, plus fist2face is moving to a new store all throughout this month... it's a big one! i've dubbed it "pat's month of nonstop badassery". i even made a flyer for it. it's awesome. i wish you could see it.

but anyway. this sleep thing seems really determined to creep into my head at some point, so i'm gonna see if i can't let that happen.
